Humble Francis is an indie rock band from Denver, CO, blending moody, dirty guitars with velvet-fuzz bass lines, sparkling synths, and exposed, emotive vocals. Founded by producer and vocalist Ryan Hughes, the band rose from the ashes of his former project, HR People. Longtime collaborators Collin Pierson (bass) and Darren Fuller (guitar) reunited with Ryan in 2022, joined by guitarist/vocalist Ian Gassman, to craft an electric live experience. With a decade of stage history—from strip club after-hours to headlining theaters and sharing bills with Just Blaze and Machine Gun Kelly—the band’s sound delivers a raw, mid-90s punch with an intimate, road-trip-with-your-best-friend feel.

In 2023, Humble Francis released three singles that hint at the larger story their upcoming album will tell. Resurrectionpairs its anthemic sound with a full-length animated music video exploring the cycle of life, death, and love. Life Not Fairchannels nostalgia and redemption through a gritty, live-action video, while Last Call—and the band’s very name—pay tribute to Ryan’s late father. With each release, Humble Francis offers deeply personal storytelling set to powerful, dynamic music, creating a connection that resonates far beyond the stage.
